Car Accident Parts.

We don’t want to think about it, but we know that if we need an autobody shop after a car accident we would be comforted to know that they carry a big selection of auto parts. Such is the case with Arrow Body and Fender, located in Elmwood Park in Chicagoland. They specialize in carrying a large variety of auto parts.

The first thing you want to be sure of is that the shop is using OEM parts (originals recommended by the manufacturer). What you don't do is pay for a part to be installed and down the road pay again just because the part was defective. You should use new OEM parts when putting your vehicle back on the roads of Chicagoland.

Arrow Body and Fender has made parts just “part” of why Chicagoans have chosen them after an accident. If you have a mishap on area roads trust Arrow Body and Fender, located conveniently at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in suburban Elmwood Park. See the beautiful and rich story of their growth at arrowbodyandfender.com.

The Parts May Make a Huge Difference.

When your vehicle is damaged in an accident in Chicagoland, the parts that are used by the auto body shop you choose could be critical. Arrow Body and Fender of Elmwood Park knows that (after more than 7 decades in business, you know they do!). It is just one step in the process that you can count on.

Arrow Body and Fender will measure the correct parts needed for the job weighed against your budget to make the appropriate decisions. You want to avoid being that person who overpays for a part to be installed and then down the road pay again because the part was defective in some way.

Arrow Body and Fender has spent the last 70+ years honing its skills. This multi-generation, family-owned business, located at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park, has probably served your family’s previous generations. When you need them, they’ll be there. Just read about their family history at arrowbodyandfender.com.

OEM vs. Aftermarket…That is the Question.

When an accident sidelines your vehicle, which parts should be used to return it to like-new condition?  We will always recommend original equipment, but we understand that budget restraints don’t always make that practical.  You need to make a financially responsible decision AND think about the future of your vehicle all at the same time!

Here are a couple of things to remember –

1.  If the parts to be used in the repair are supplied from the original equipment manufacturer, a warranty must be included that guarantees the customer that the parts meet or exceed manufacturing standards.

2.  The use of a motor vehicle crash part NOT made by the original equipment manufacturer may invalidate any remaining warranties of the original equipment manufacturer on that motor vehicle part.

We want you to make the right decision for your budget and your family.  We are here to help with that as well as look for the best aftermarket parts available if that is your decision.  We are Arrow Body and Fender of Elmwood Park.  We have been getting cars back on the roads of Chicagoland since your grandfather’s Edsel.  Call us at (708) 456-9424.

OEM…OMG!

In some cases, if you take your car to an independent body shop, you'll most likely get aftermarket car parts.  Is there anything wrong with that?  Does a less expensive part mean a poorer-quality part?  One thing you absolutely DON’T want to do is pay for a part to be installed and then pay again later just because the part was defective.

An aftermarket part is any part for a vehicle that is not sourced from the car's maker.  There are many companies that makes parts designed to function the same way.  They are usually less expensive.  But then the quality may vary greatly as well, as there are an overwhelming number of choices.  Not only that, but is the warranty the same?

We here at Arrow Body and Fender recommend OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts.  We believe that the slight extra cost up front will be more than offset by the peace of mind you will have driving around with the same parts that were originally designed for your vehicle.  Stop by our shop located at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park or call (708) 456-9424.
