What is Spectrophotometry?

Spectrophotometry is the precise measurement of the reflection properties of a material as a function of wavelength. Uhhh, right! Auto body repair is not the only industry where matching colors is essential. At Arrow Body and Fender of Elmwood Park we take that responsibility very seriously.

It is just part of the due diligence, that auto manufacturers use “spectros” to check their color standards as the cars leave the paint line. It is always different at various plants, so perfectly exact color standards are very hard to hold. That is just part of Arrow Body and Fender’s job.

Trust and believe that if you drive a vehicle in Chicagoland, Arrow Body and Fender will use every technique to make your ride look like new. One thing that is NOT modern is their attention to detail. That was established 70+ years ago. When you have an accident, you can always trust Arrow Body and Fender of Elmwood Park. The Dust is Flying.

Perhaps it has not occurred to you that during auto body repair, sanding removes paint from surfaces and refinishes body panels using body filling compounds. Airborne dusts produced during these operations may contain hazardous substances, such as lead and chromium. Arrow Body and Fender of Elmwood Park uses every precaution to protect their employees.

Did you ever wonder how, after seven decades, Arrow Body and Fender keeps its people safe? Well, effective control of worker exposure to dusts from sanding operations on auto body surfaces has been achieved by use of ventilated mechanical sanders. It’s just another way that your vehicle and the employees are kept environmentally secure.

Arrow Body and Fender NEVER stops evolving! Joe and his staff use only state-of-the-art materials and knowledge to repair your Chicagoland vehicle after an accident.
