Being Framed.

It sounds ominous, but when your car is in the body shop it all starts with the frame.  It is the same as a house really.  You start with the frame and you build out from there.  The frame HAS to be set properly, or the entire job will go haywire.  Your auto body repair professional in Chicagoland knows that, but do they have the expertise to pull it off?

Have you heard of the term unibody construction?  The term means that the frame of your vehicle and its body must be treated as one in the same.  Look at it this way…if there is damage to the body, then there is certainly damage to the frame.  By the way, unibody frame damage is much easier to repair in newer models than in older ones.

Above all else, what is good to know is that you have one of the best auto body repair shops in all of Chicagoland right there in Elmwood Park.  For over seven decades the name Arrow Body and Fender has been synonymous with quality workmanship in the auto body repair industry.  Please visit the shop located at 7536 W. Grand Ave. or call ahead at (708) 456-9424.

Stud Welding.

No, this is not a reference to our fearless leader Joe (although he is a strikingly handsome man!).  It is part of the process that Arrow Body and Fender uses to restore your vehicle to a like-new look and feel after an accident.  It is just part of the many steps that we take to ensure that you are back on the road as quickly as possible.

So, what is stud welding?  It is a technique similar to flash welding where a fastener or specially formed nut (again, not a reference to our leader!) is welded onto another metal part, typically a base metal or substrate.  The fastener itself can take on many different forms, but typically it will fall under threaded, unthreaded or tapped.

We don’t mean to confuse you.  We just want you to know that after seven decades of serving Elmwood Park and Chicagoland with the best auto body repair service possible we continue to offer state-of-the-art training, techniques, and equipment.  You can trust us with your four-wheel baby.  Call us for an appointment at Arrow Body and Fender at (708) 456-9424.
