Is it My Choice or Theirs?

It is a question asked by millions over the years.  When you have a car accident do you have to go to the body shop “recommended” by your insurance company?  Rest assured that you have a legal right to use the body shop of your choice.  Understand that basic premise and do not feel intimidated!

It’s important to know why insurance companies prefer certain auto body shops to others in the first place.  It may seem like common sense to trust in your carrier’s recommended auto body shops, especially since they’re the ones who are footing the bill to have your car fixed.  Unfortunately, there are too many cases in which an insurance company isn’t taking into account a policyholder’s best interests.

What is best for YOU?  Well, the 70 years of reputation behind Arrow Body and Fender is a good start.  When you trust Arrow Body and Fender for all of your car’s repair needs you know that seven decades of expertise go into that repair.  Why not get a quote?  Call (708) 456-9424.  Or, if you are able, stop in at their shop located at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park.

Relax…We will take care of ALL of your car’s repairs.

A car accident leaves you shaken even if there are no injuries.  How much damage has been done?  Where should you go to have it repaired?  Are there mechanical problems in addition to the visible physical damage?  These are questions that swirl through your mind as you try to get back to normal.

If you could find an auto body repair shop with certified mechanics onboard so that you did not have to worry about your vehicle being “pinballed” around the Chicago area wouldn’t you choose that one?  It just makes sense.  If all of the auto body and mechanical work could be done under one roof, then that should be the way to go.

Arrow Body and Fender does it all.  Nearly every mechanical repair and all body repairs are done on site at 7536 West Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park.  It is conveniently located for most Chicagoans and they have been around for more than seven decades!  Give them a call to have your precious vehicle repaired at (708) 456-9424.

OEM…OMG!

In some cases, if you take your car to an independent body shop, you'll most likely get aftermarket car parts.  Is there anything wrong with that?  Does a less expensive part mean a poorer-quality part?  One thing you absolutely DON’T want to do is pay for a part to be installed and then pay again later just because the part was defective.

An aftermarket part is any part for a vehicle that is not sourced from the car's maker.  There are many companies that makes parts designed to function the same way.  They are usually less expensive.  But then the quality may vary greatly as well, as there are an overwhelming number of choices.  Not only that, but is the warranty the same?

We here at Arrow Body and Fender recommend OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts.  We believe that the slight extra cost up front will be more than offset by the peace of mind you will have driving around with the same parts that were originally designed for your vehicle.  Stop by our shop located at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park or call (708) 456-9424.

I Prefer My Own Body Shop.

Almost all insurance companies today have what are referred to as “DRP” or Direct Repair Programs.  A specific auto body shop that is a part of this program belongs to a referral network created by insurance companies.  Really?  So, the insurance companies pretty much dictate what you will do to restore your vehicle to “like new” condition no matter what you think.

Unfortunately, this kind of referral relationship often creates a conflict of interest as the repair facility considers the insurance company to be their customer...NOT YOU!  The insurance company, therefore, becomes their top priority, at the expense of the vehicle owner.  You may hear the words “that shop isn’t on our preferred network”.

If you prefer to have the work done by a trusted member of the Elmwood Park community and 70+ year fixture in Chicagoland then we will serve you with the best auto body repair work in the area.  We are Arrow Body and Fender located at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park.  Remember, it is always ultimately YOUR CHOICE!  Call us at (708) 456-9424.

Making Estimating More of an Exact Science.

We all understand that an estimate is just that.  It is a “guess-timate” of the final cost of something.  While we don’t expect it to be precise, we do want it to reflect something close to the final cost.  Now, with the Mitchell Estimating System auto body repair shops can make as perfect of an estimated final cost as there is.

What does the Mitchell System do for the shop?

1.  It creates an estimate that is reliable and accepted throughout the industry.
2.  It is easy to connect with customers.
3.  It avoids costly errors.
4.  It gives the shop access to the recommended parts that will be needed for the repair.

The bottom line is…The Mitchell System is the state of the art in auto body repair.  You know who is proud to feature that system?  It is the 70+ year old auto body shop located at 7536 W, Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park…Arrow Body and Fender…that’s who!  Having the right people and the right equipment is what it’s all about.  Call Arrow Body and Fender at (708) 456-9424.
