In Like a Lion…Out Like a Lamb.

Don’t count on it, Chicagoland.  March does not conform to the standard expectation.  As spring approaches what should we expect?  Well morning lows should be around freezing on average (if there is such a thing as average around here) while afternoon highs should rise into the fifties.  Not bad, not bad at all.

Here may be the problem.  Chicago area roads are liable to ice over during the night making driving conditions problematic at best.  The truth is, over the years we have experienced temperatures in the single digits.  The thermometer has even gone as high as 88 degrees.  Put away your swimsuit and stay out of Lake Michigan for now!

The reason we bring this up is that you may need us before March has run its course.  Perhaps you were driving on a previously clear, clean road one day, then overnight that road froze over and made driving very hazardous.  If you have collision damage, please remember the name Arrow Body and Fender at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park.  Call (708) 456-9424.

It’s Pothole Season.

Whoopie, it’s that time of year again!  Winter snow and ice give way to big, fat, nasty, potholes around the highways and byways of Chicagoland.  Last March the city announced in that it would resurface well over 100 miles of potholes, but in truth that would not even put a dent in the problem.

This spring should be no exception.  Over the first two months of 2018 there were no less than 11,706 pothole complaints!  That was an increase of nearly 15% over 2017.  You can be sure that the percentage is unlikely to go down in 2019.  Chicago area drivers can file a claim to recoup some of the costs that come from damaging one’s vehicle due to a pothole.

Do your research if your vehicle has come out on the wrong end of a Chicagoland pothole.  Then, let us help you get your car back on the road running as well as ever.  We are Arrow Body and Fender.  We have been fixing pothole damage caused to Chicago vehicles for many decades from our shop at 7536 W. Grand Ave. in Elmwood Park.  Call us at (708) 456-9424.
