That sounds confusing, doesn’t it? Not if you break it down. OEM stands for Original Equipment
Manufacturer. If a body shop is using
anything less, then you had better know about it from the very get-go. At most independent autobody shops you get
aftermarket parts. It does not take a
rocket scientist to know that these may not last as long.
So, why is OEM important.
I mean, surely aftermarket parts must be nearly as good as original
equipment parts, or they would not exist, would they? Well, you don’t want to pay for a part to be
installed and then pay again down the road because the aftermarket part was
defective. We believe in using new OEM
parts in returning your vehicle to pre-accident condition.
What is the object of taking your car to a body shop? We think it is to get back on the road
without any noticeable difference in the way it handles. That is what we pledge at Arrow Body and
Fender. It was the mission of our
patriarch Joe Sr. and continues to be, more than 7 decades later. Our shop is at 7536 W. Grand Ave in Elmwood
Park. Call us at (708) 456-9424.
